TF-201S is commonly used as a flame retardant additive in epoxy adhesives. Its function is to increase the fire resistance and reduce the flammability of the adhesive. When TF-201S is heated, it undergoes a process called intumescence, which involves the release of non-combustible gases and the formation of a protective char layer. This char layer acts as a barrier, preventing the heat and flame from reaching the underlying material. The mechanism of action of TF-201S in epoxy adhesives can be summarized as follows: 1. Phosphorus Content: TF-201S contains phosphorus, which is an effective flame retardant element. Phosphorus compounds interrupt the combustion process by inhibiting the release of flammable gases. 2. Dehydration: As TF-201S decomposes under heat, it releases water molecules. The water molecules are converted into steam due to the heat energy, which helps dilute and cool the flames.1. Used to prepare many kinds of high-efficiency intumescent coating, the flameproof treatment for wood, multistory building, ships, trains, cables, etc. 2. Used as the main flameproof additive for expanding-type flame retardant used in plastic, resin, rubber, etc. 3. Make into powder extinguishing agent to be used in large-area outfire for forest, oil field and coal field, etc. 4. In plastics(PP, PE, etc. ), Polyester, Rubber, and Expandable fireproof coatings. 5. Used for textile coatings. 6. Match with AHP can be used for epoxy adhesives.
